I use a mouth gaurd and don't think it bothers the air flow, I have lots of dry mouth too, less with the Hybrid mask. I have never seen a chin strap yet that was any good, I made one from old headgear straps sewed on to an old cap that works best for my open mouth trouble when I use the over the nose gear.
