Posted by Captin Cannuck on August 17, 2007 at 12:28:43:It has happened to me a couple of times when I am travelling that I have been unable to get distilled water for my APAP humidifier. I don't want to use regular tap water with my new APAP because its too nice and don't want to mess it up. (I used to do that with my old one and it left a film on it.)
My questin is, can you use a steam kettle, and heat up regular tap water, then catch the vapor coming out of the kettle spout? When the vapor beads into droplets of water, is that distilled water? Is it the same as the distilled water from the drug store?
Thanks.
