Yes, distilled water is always best. However, when traveling it is not always feasbile. Purified water is the next choice, but that's not always available either. Avoid "distilled" water sold at gas stations, it has lead in it! In a bind, any water fit to drink will also suffice. Just clean it out when you get home. Within the U.S. and Canada, distilled water is generally available. Elsewhere in the world, it's spotty.
