Causes of Fatigue

Posted by SleepyTimeGal on August 22, 2007 at 15:30:14:

So many people complain of continuing fatigue after starting CPAP that I thought it might be useful to look at the following comprehensive list of possible causes of fatigue ranging from simple to less likely (kwashiorkor). As you can see, sleep problems are only one in this long list.

Since sleep apnea can lead to other imbalances in the body, and we often try to compensate by overcaffeinating ourselves, I think we might be overly optimistic to think we can hook up to a CPAP and do away with all our possible health problems in one fell swoop -- though it certainly would be nice, and I would welcome such a panacea.
