CPAP & gastric bypass?

Posted by kenapnea on August 23, 2007 at 22:01:51:

Hello All,
Has anyone on cpap undergone a gastric bypass? I will be undergoing the procedure in a few months and have a few questions.
1. Did it reduce or eliminate your need for cpap therapy?
2. Could you use your cpap immediately after the operation? (I tend to get alot of air in my stomach)
3. Any information and/or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks and good sleep to all
