How was this pressure determined? What was your titration pressure recommendation?
Most COMPETENT docs/dme will start APAP at 3 below and 3 above titrated value.

A low setting of 6 will likely have a high AHI since it will drop down below the pressure needed to control apnea.
Data from apap will often show a different pressure than the titrated value.
The pressure will vary with stages of sleep and position of body.
I think a competent person should insist on an APAP and get the software and reader, not beginners!!

Monitoring PAP without data is like monitoring diabetes without a glucose monotor.
