There is a medical name for what is happening to you...aerophagia. Do an internet search on that term to learn more about it.

You may find that sleeping in a certain position makes this problem a whole lot worse or a whole lot better, depending on the person. I know that when I'm on my right side, I have this problem, but that isn't for all people.

But ending up in the emergency room is not good. I think I would suggest getting one of the new auto-adjusting Bi-PAP machines on the market. These kind of machines may lower your average pressure and help the situation. Good Luck.
