Posted by kettlebell on September 10, 2007 at 06:43:30:My wife has been a real trooper through my trials and tribulations with UARS and other sleep problems. She has seen me through trips to Stanford, surgeries, and many less than great nights. In the meantime, I have noticed that her snoring has become more pronounced and even has occasional breathing pauses. She often falls asleep as a passenger in the car and falls asleep while reading every evening. She sleeps on her back, despite my recommendations, and refuses to believe that there is anything wrong with her sleep. In my own case my EDS became so severe that I had to look for answers, but how do I get her to recognize that she might have a problem or at least see a sleep doc? She thinks I am making it all up and that everyone makes noise at night. Any suggestions for how to nudge her in the right direction without seeming like a nag?
