Here is a common story that you can tell your wife: For 15 years my wife told me I was snoring and having breathing problems at night, as well as grinding my teeth (bruxism). I refused to believe her because I was completely unaware this was going on -- no idea. Finally I just happened to mention to my doc that my wife was saying these things, and there just happened to be a guy in his office that day who was from a sleep test place, who came in to talk to me for a few minutes. He gave me one of those free,finger-clip-on home tests to try for a night, and things went on from there. However, a lot of people fall asleep while reading or riding in a car. Does your wife feel okay, awake and energetic otherwise? If so, I wouldn't worry about her, yet.
