Two words -- heated humidifier.

I also have severe allergies and was unable to sleep at all for the titration until they hooked up a humidifier to the CPAP. I have a unit with a built-in heated humidifier and it is a godsend. The humidity soothes the nasal tissues and I breathe better now than I have for 30 years. I used to be a diehard mouth breather, but no longer and it is so comfortable. My machine goes everywhere with me, including two trips to Spain. Yes, the airports are a hassle, but, to coin a phrase, "I won't leave home without it."

Good luck. Do not assume you have to use a full face mask. I did buy one but only used it a few times and have abandoned it totally.
