Roger,

An excellent observation. One thing that I can say is that I am really thankful for the wisdom of the crowds which evades doctors. For example, I have asked some doctors about the jolting sensation that accompanies my apnea. Often their "text book" knowledge offers them no insight, so they tell me that it is just myoclons or hypnic jerks. Yet, thanks to the internet, I am able to know that others with OSA suffer the exact same jolting sensation.
