My Dr. used the Computer-Assisted Fiberoptic Pharyngoscopy with Müller's maneuver(CFPMM). The link below is an abract of this method that says it's able to evaluate upper airway characteristics and help determine the site of obstruction. I also heard that the Muller's maneuver methods is more accurate when done while the patient is in the supine position, which is said to reflect the muscles of the throat while a patient is sleep. I believe I had the Muller's maneuver done before my surgery in 1999, however the equipment wasn't hooked to a computer or monitor and my doctor didn't have me lie down and inhale and exhale like the recent Dr did. I believe these methods are probably good at locating the site of obstruction, however not always able to identify all sites of obstruction at once. Just my opinion.http://content.karger.com/produktedb/produkte.asp?doi=99224
