I would guess something other than sleep apnea is going on with your legs and hands. Perhaps your doctor could prescribe a pain medication or sleeping pill to help you sleep, although in my experience, sleeping pills don't help much when I'm in pain. Three-four years ago, I needed quite a bit of pain medication in order to sleep. I also took heating pads to bed which helped a lot. As my sleep quality improved, the pain lessened and now I seldom need pain medication in the evening. I do continue to use aspercreme and Thera-gesic alternately, not at the same time and one can't use Thera-gesic and then apply heat.

I really hope your doctor will treat your pain aggressively. Lack of sleep makes pain worse, no matter what the cause of the pain.
