Pressure should be the same whether using a nasal mask or a full face mask; however, in the experience of a good number of us, a full face mask tends to leak more and is not as comfortable. Get in touch with your DME immediately and request a nasal mask. The ResMed Activa has been reported to seal well and be comfortable, though it's a bit bulky. The ResMed Ultra Mirage is lighter, though it will leak if one is a restless sleeper. I alternate between the two of them and am happy.

Best of all, go down to the sleep lab and ask to see a number of nasal masks and the nasal pillows. Try them on, lie down, move around, see what seems best to you.

You don't mention a heated humidifier. Did they use one at the sleep lab? Did you receive one with your unit? Simple thing, but itt can make a tremendous difference.
