Why not try a nasal mask with chin strap? Full face masks are given for mouth leak. You may well need a full face mask, but I think you be able to get away with nasal CPAP with chin strap to keep your mouth closed. No harm in trying it. If it doesn't work, you can always go back to full face mask. Also, if need be, you can ask them to give you higher pressure. I felt under ventilated when I first began. THey upped my pressure and things got better.

Yes... you know the other piece of advice already: "be patient, you will adjust etc. etc." That is often true.
