I have the same machine. Your prescription for the machine included a lowest setting and a highest setting. The pressure will fluctuate anywhere between these throughout the night, but it always starts on the lowest setting. Maybe they set the lowest seting at 5.

You could check with the medical supply store and who set your pap up.

The big question is...how do you feel??
