Related. Not in the direction I was hoping: I was hoping that controling the breathing would lead to better sleep in a sleep apnea patient.
But its useful to know that apnea causes anxiety.

So if you have sleep apnea, is it worth your time to try to follow up on anxiety/hypoventilation through relaxation techniques such as meditation, biofeedback, or by using medication? Are all of these things a move in the wrong direction since they fail to address the fundamental underlying cause?

Has anyone with apnea and anxiety had an improvement in their anxiety through treatments that addressed anxiety but not apnea? Has anyone with apnea and anxiety had an improvement in their anxiety after improving their apnea?
