I purchased a full face mask for backup on those occasions when congestion prevented nose breathing, but I've discarded it. It was too leaky and uncomfortable. I also discovered that with heated humidity, my nasal congestion is rare. I'm a comfortable nose breather for the first time in 40 years -- y-a-a-a-a-y. I can't tell you how much more comfortable my sleep is.

I also am a side sleeper, alternate between the ResMed Ultra Mirage nasal mask and the Activa nasal mask. Both work well for me; the Activa is supposed to maintain a seal for restless sleepers.

I don't know if this information is helpful to you; most people seem to find the best mask by trial and error and I wish you the best of luck.
