Sorry no one has responded to your post sooner. I use nasal pillows (or rather nasal prongs -- SNAPP) and they work well for me. You do have a pretty high pressure, but all old-timers like me learn that your mask does not have to be all that tight on your head. Mine is actually fairly loose, and if it's not so tight the mask probably won't hurt you. Also, old-timers just aren't concerned with little leaks so much; they just stop being so annoying. Little leaks are no big deal. However, I've found when I sleep on my side it works best to turn on my side AWAY from the CPAP. So, my CPAP is on my right side, so I turn onto my left side. The hose and mask then pull slightly to the right, and actually hold the mask more firmly against my face. On my right side, the hose pulls the mask away from face, causing more leaks. You can also press your mask gently into the pillow on your side, and hold it in place. All of this will briefly wake you up, but that's okay; you'll fall back asleep quickly. Finally, I've had a full beard for years, and I've read posts by others who have facial hair, and it doesn't really seem to be a problem -- so grow your mustache back, if you want. It's the way God intended men to be ;) Meahwhile, keep in mind you are getting more good sleep than you were before, even though there are hassles. Things will get better over the next weeks and months, and soon you'll seldom be aware of most problems with the CPAP. Best wishes.
