Rainout is not as good an indicator of sufficient humidification as looking at how much water is being used on those nights when you are able to keep it on all night. You should be using better than half of what's in the container. An insulating cover for the hose, or the heated hose mentioned by someone, should resolve the raainout problem.

My guess is that you need more humidification rather than less. Be sure to get plenty of liquid during the day and perhaps gargling a salt water/baking soda solution every night will help.
