AHI is a crude way of deciding severity. The best way to decide is the effect it has on your daytime sleepiness and other effects like cardiac arrhythmia's, high blood pressure, etc.

With your AHI numbers it is easy to say it is severe, adding in your SaO2 and calling it very severe can be an understatement.

Let us know how CPAP changes your life.

Best wishes,
