Thanks for the comment.The gums have been cleaned up and stitched about a year ago and I have visited him since. He gave me some medication to be used topically as a pain killer. It works fine if I don't wear the mask. The mask is a Fisher and Paykel HC405. One issue is that I sleep on my stomach and this may put more pressure on the area whihc is already prone to infection.
