Home Medical Equipment Providers

Posted by HEUGE on November 09, 2007 at 09:42:08:

So I've had a CPAP for 10+ years, and after a recent sleep study it's time for a new machine... a BiPAP this time.

I read the post earlier about expensive Home Medical Equipment Companies, and I find it shocking how much they want to charge. $2700 for a Respironic's M BiPap with humdifier. My doctor has already created the prescription, and although I'm paying 10% and my insurance is covering the rest, it seems morally wrong to allow my insurance to eat this huge cost.

I have a great doctor who will work with me on my needs, so can someone here recommend the best BiPap machine available (maybe one where I can read the data into a computer) and a trusted vendor who can sell these (legal with prescription). I'm in Texas.

Sincerely,
Eugene
