First Night on APAP

Posted by StevieB on November 09, 2007 at 09:52:47:

Well, I made it through the first night on the AutoPAP machine. I went to sleep easily at starting pressure of 9 cm without using the ramp feature. Woke up once with too much condensation in the mask and turned the humidifier down to 1. Woke up after three hours or so and the pressure had gone way up (range is set at 9 to 17 cm). Stayed awake over an hour, but the pressure was just too much I think. Restarted at 4cm and woke up at 12 cm. Machine noted 6.8 hour of therapy but was awake at least one hour plus. Overall not too bad for first night. My wife said it was the quietest I have been in ten years.
