Some doctors are not that crazy about auto-paps; I'm not sure why. Two specialists tried to discourage me from getting the auto; however, from my research, I felt that was what I needed. Part of the reason I wanted the auto was that three different studies gave wildly different pressure readings from 9 to 16. I think an autopap purchase is usually a consumer-driven decision.
