Your DME or doctor can adjust the starting pressure upwards to what you normally have been starting at with the CPAP. Conventional Wisdom is to set the lower pressure two cm below your titrated ideal pressure, the upper range 2 cm above your titrated pressure, monitor the nightly data and go from there. If the machine constantly pegs at the bottom or upper pressure range, you can adjust the range up or down slightly as needed. Most users are agreed that leaving the machine running wide open with a bottom pressure of 4 and top pressure of 20 is counter productive.
