I have had weight gain since starting cpap, but it is nothing to do with cpap. I have strong insulin resistance, with a high level of insulin if I eat anything. became diabetic on cpap too and there has been no direct realationship that I know of, more a long deterioration and weight gain. chicken and egg question for me, did the high insulin and hypoglycaemia come before the apnea? Yes, diagnostically, but in reality I will never know the truth because I was tested for blood sugar problems way before (years)I was tested for apnea. maybe i was apneac and undiagnosed.
