Posted by drunkmonk on November 19, 2007 at 02:10:13:I've had a UPPP, used a cpap for over a year, but still very tired. Often wake up full of air when I use the cpap. I think I may have had low breathing for my entire life. Reportedly didn't breath as an infant, doc wanted to take out my adenoids but my parents decided against it. I've had 3 sleep studies, one a titration. The titration took the tech almost all night, until 4am to get me to sleep using nasal mask and strap to hold my mouth shut. Now I just use full face mask. The only time the machine ever seemed to help was after that study. Felt awake, and hungry, for a few hours afterward. Is it possible that I've got central sleep apnea and he just missed it? I just wonder if I haven't been breathing my entire life, no amount of air blowing into my head will make me TAKE a breath. I notice that my breathing is quite low during the day as well.
