appreciate your reply and I fully understand what your saying..... well I am not positive I have apnea but the symptoms im getting and have gotten for a long time sure point to that.....plus in the past I have had a couple of times when ive woken up completely out of breath ( man its scarey, like ive been holding my breath for 2 min or something ) plus im a little overweight, middle aged, do snore, have a thick neck, never seem to be rested after a nights sleep...I could go on and on.... I have thought about seeking a used machine but like you said who knows what setting it should be on..... I have tried things in the past like nasal strips or nose plugs and all that seems to happen is my chest gets real tight and I dont feel any more refreshed wearing them during sleep...actually feel better without some type of nasal device. Had myself checked out big time in the er recently...ekg's edima testing etc....the works...put in the poor house but all came back ok for now....snoring is very heriditary in my family and lately im waking up a lot with a very dry mouth and throat.....i'm just trying to find a way to help myself here and see if I have it and what can be done..... can you recommend any non prescription items I can look into that may help me?....as always..any info appreciated..thank you
