medicare and Dme provider?

Does any one know if medicare will let me change my DME provider on a rented apap? I got the Apap in the Drs office last week and did not understand that there was no local office for the provider. If there is a problem I have to mail it back to them. There are several good providers in out city and I would like to chage to one of them. Anyone done this before?
