Instead of trying to get around the sleep lab you may want to look at what you can do to have a good study.

Call sleep labs in your area.

Sleep labs run into this problem all the time. Many have come up with helpful solutions.

Some have used CPAP's that were donated, some will work out easy payment plans, and some will reduce the cost. If you are flexible about the date of your study, coming in when someone cancels, they may reduce the cost further.

Many labs would rather not deal with insurance companies so you have that on your side.

These are just a few of the ways some labs may reduce the cost, and when asking they may give you even better options.
