I know you've been posting for at least two years. In regards to your dietary suggestions, would you share with us what your AHI was when you were initially tested for sleep apnea and prescribed your CPAP and what your AHI is now, since your diet modifications?

I agree with many things you say, but from my own experience, nothing really worked for me until I got my severe sleep apnea treated with CPAP. I've always been very health conscious and believe me, I tried no-fat/extremely low-fat diet, vegan diet, high protein-low carb, exercise, all to no avail. These were not temporary changes consisting of, "Gee, this week I'll be vegetarian."

I wouldn't want to discourage anyone from changing lifestyle and diet, but if a person has been diagnosed with sleep apnea -- or even THINKS they may have sleep apnea -- I feel it's crucial to get that taken care of ASAP along with any other changes he/she may undertake.
