I don't care to reach out to the whole world with my advice by writing a book. I also don't care to make 'a little money at it'. My advice goes out only to those who can find it. It is for a 90 day trial diet, void of beef, dairy, and most wheat and wheat flour. Substitute soy milk for cow's milk. Make rice a staple. Eat oats instead wheat cereal (with soy milk). Wild rice and Brown rice are better than white rice, all are better than eating a beef pot pie or lunchmeat sandwich with mayo. Make veggies a big part of everything. Eat no bread, because bread will only make you want to eat butter and cheese with it. Sweet potatoes are great. Cook in the microwave and pour apple sauce over it and eat it that way. Eggs and fresh hash browns in the morning are great. Add no cheese! Vegetable soup for lunch, but no 'cream of' soups. Any type of potato is better than a plate of pasta. All beans are nutritional powerhouses. Fruits should be eaten more. Snack on a bowl of stawberries and bananas. Use non-diary salad dressings to spice up meals of veggies. THIS IS NOT A VEGAN DIET OR A POLITICAL MOVEMENT. Can eat meals with small amouts of chicken or bacon pieces, for flavor only. Somewhat larger pieces of baked fish. Drink plenty of OJ with calcuim added. Drink a lot of water. Dilute most store bought fruit juices with 50% water. Take a multi-vitamin daily.
Combine this with an exercise routine, for 90 days.
Now, to please all the naysayers, I won't claim that this diet can have any positive affects on sleep!!! But after the 90 days, STOP THE DIET JUST SUGGESTED!!! Go directly to a diet of cow's milk and wheat cereal in the morning. Every second or third day stop at McDonalds and get a sausage biscuit with cheese for breakfast since you're short on time, or better yet, hot cakes and sausage. For a mid-morning snack, have a dounut or roll. For lunch stop at Subway and get a beef and cheese footlong something (Eat Fresh), or a slice of pizza. For dinner: Something made of burger or any nice piece of beef. Eat with pasta. Add gravy. Also eat veggies with the beef because you heard the veggies are good. A substitute for the beef at dinner would be a big piece of chicken, fried or baked in a batter coating mix, made with bread crums milk, and/or butter. Another substitute is spaghetti and meat balls, with lots of garlic cheese bread on the side. For dessert, a nice piece of pie or cake will do, topped with whipped cream. Drink a big glass of milk with it. Better yet, a cup of cafinated coffee.
Eat that everyday for a week, days 91-97. Now, see how badly your sleep becomes after about a week.
