Do you check your bg before you go to bed? 254 is very high and you are probably staying at that level all night. Please talk with your dr about that. Perhaps you need a change of meds or diet. If you are already high when you go to bed you really don't need a snack. That simply makes your bg higher.
Type 2 diabetic for 30 years.
