I'll go out on a limb and say that if your wife reports that you still snore and still stop breathing, that your airway is not being kept open by the APAP pressure and you're not getting any sleep. I do hope you're not running it wide open with a range of 4-20? You don't say why you can't breathe through your nose, but if it's simple congestion, the humidifier might help keep it open. I was a mouth breather for umpteen years but find I can breathe very comfortably now with APAP and added humidity. Good luck to you.
