I moved many things from the carry-on bag to the checked in luggage. A lot of things, suuch as liquid and aerosol cans need to go in the checked-in luggage now. All I keep in the carry-on now are my pills, my CPAP and supplies (even the extra extension cord goes on the checked in), my passport, tickets and travel documents, an inflatable travel pillow, and a few things that I might use on the plane.
