CPAP pressure change

Posted by JamesW on January 21, 2008 at 06:45:37:

This is the first post in this forum. I have snorkeled since I was diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea and the post here are really helpful.

I got my fist PAP (Remstar M)in last April. I am using it as a CPAP. I have managed to change the original setting from 8 to 10 cm H2O in which I feel more rested. I am considering to buy a backup device mainly used for travel. A simpler and cheaper CPAP rather than APAP would be OK this time. I don't want to bother to have another visit to doctor and even another sleep study to get a new prescription for the higher pressure setting. My question is if Fisher HC234 (currently in my eyes) pressure can be changed by myself.

It is understood this topic is sensitive in this forum. Any kind of clue or email is also appreciated.
