I think you are right on the line. In the book "The Promise of Sleep", the author, Dr. William Dement recommends that people seek out treatment if they have an AHI stat higher than five. Of course you have done the weight loss, jaw surgery, etc., so you have exhausted those avenues. The thing you have to bear in mind is that AHI increases when people age. I definately would not throw away your CPAP. I think you should think more about making CPAP work. There will be a health benefit.
