Mouthbreathing

Posted by mouthbreather on January 31, 2008 at 06:48:12:

Hi everyone:

I've been on CPAP for 9 years now, and last month I decided to switch to a new "hybrid" Resmed Mirage Liberty mask. I had been using the Resmed Swift Nasal Pillows before, taping my mouth with Micropore the keep it sealed.
This new Liberty full face mask is really uncomfortable. The pillows never stay in place, and since I'm not using tape I breathe through my mouth all night. I'm wondering if its ok to mouthbreathe when using a full face mask. Will the therapy be effective?
Thanks for your help!
