Sleep Study Results

Posted by Kosmo143 on February 04, 2008 at 20:35:01:

Hello,

I recently had a PSG to help diagnose EDS and insomnia. The results of the sleep study include:

REM onset of 137 minutes, 12% total REM sleep, an AHI of 8.2, 15.6 Limb movements per hour, with 5.6 PLMs/hour. The results indicate a delayed REM onset, decreased REM stage, mildly increased arousals, along with no snoring (as written in the report). A diagnosis of mild OSA, Periodic Limb Movement disorder and Restless Leg Syndrome was made. I'm a 19 year old college student within a healthy weight range. If anybody has similar symptoms (if so, what was your course of treatment) or could help interpret these results more (other underlying condition?) that would be really helpful. If you need any other information from my sleep study results just let me know. Thanks,

Matt
