Tracheal microphone revealed no significant snoringThe diagnosis was
1. Moderate OSA
2. Low sleep efficiency associated with first night effectThey recommended CPAP Titration
Questions:1.) Should I get the test redone? It was over a year ago.
2.) Never had the CPAP titration and was cautious of immediately doing this without a well established baseline. I felt like they were pushing the CPAP without conclusively determining I needed it. Is 50% sleep efficiency good enough to establish a diagnosis?
3.) How do they determine whether I was really sleeping in various stages they indicated?
4.) I didn't feel like I slept at all. Is it important to have a very good idea of how bad you were before the CPAP titration is done?
5.) My wife says I snore very heavily but they detected nothing. How significant is that?
6.) 15 RDI is considered borderline between minor and moderate OSA. Based on this alone should I get another study done this time making sure I am pretty sleepy before I go in?
