Lets say you were a normal sleep breather, no diagnosis of apnea and not using CPAP. If you had a bad cold and went to bed, would you sleep just as well as if you didn't have a cold? Technically, would your AHI be higher that night? I would think that that is highly likely. A person's AHI would be affected.
