I'm not sure where you live but I am in Australia and when I was starting out (and even now) I could take my mask in to the Pharmacy that specialised in CPAP machines and equipment and they would fit it to me free of charge. It is just part of the service. I know that I struggled to start with in getting it all in the right place and it was a relief to know that help was very easy to find.
