Ambien or the generic will give me better sleep (with my CPAP)for 5 or 6 hours. Ambien CR is great for a full night of 8 to 9 hours. I feel wonderful the next day. Some recommend against it because of the slight possibility of dependency. I only use it one or two nights a week, or if I have something big coming up the next day. Ambien CR is expensive.
