Sore Feet and CPAP? Correlation?

Posted by MrsBatista on February 27, 2008 at 19:30:41:

Hi, I'm new here, I just found this board last night and I have sleep apnea with hypoxemia and hypoapnea, along with insomnia for the past 11years. Needless to say, I haven't had much sleep and it has REALLY gotten to me finally. I have tried all the otc sleep aids and prescription and NOTHING works! I have a CPAP machine and I noticed that after I started using it everynight that I would wake up the next morning with very sore feet! And I am talking sore to the point of not able to stand on them by myself, I had to hold onto things in order to walk to turn on my light and to turn off my alarm or go the bathroom.

So, I would like to know if anyone else has had the same type of problem, my drs would like to know as well. I am seeing a podiatrist currently as I seem to have at LEAST 1 fracture in my foot from falling because of the pain in my feet, somehow my right foot seems to have the most damage right now. So any information you may have would be greatly appreciated. Myself, nor any of my drs want anyone else to be hurt by the CPAP machine and we are trying to figure out the correlation between the two.

Thank You for your time,
MrsBatista
