I would hope you insist on a new Rx for an APAP.
The data provided is very helpful to understand your sleep.
A plain cpap will never give any data helpful which is like being monitored for diabetes without a glucose monitor.
The dme may tell you it is not covered, but it is and the billing code is the same for APAP as CPAP.
Your pressure changes during the night as well as from day to day.
You will know your HI anad AHI every night as well as having a machine that can change depending on your needs.
This will provide you the close equilivent of a sleep study every night.
Cheaper than a retitration study.
