I just had another sleep study this week.

It started with my dental appliance and then switched to a nasal mask. The tech cinched it down like she was putting on a saddle. It hurt so bad that I had trouble sleeping. I tried to adjust it to lessen the pain but whenever I loosened it the mask would leak.

Other techs have done the same thing on previous sleep studies.

There was supposed to be a narcolepsy study the next morning but after lying there for 3 hours without sleeping they sent me home.

My suggestions were: a larger range of pillows (most were so soft that my head would get swallowed), nasal strips, a bed that tilts for acid reflux sufferers and disposable razors for those with facial hair. I'm surprised that they didn't have these on hand considering how important they are to good sleep for some people.
