'Thanks for your forbearance' is a confusing close to somewhat of a confusing post. You wish to apologize to us for not providing the answers to sleep apnea? Thank you for the burden, but this is a pro CPAP forum. How far will the truth go?

I will help this forward by say something obvious. To improve AHI, people should look to dietary changes and increasing daily exercise. Increase water intake as well. Nope, just didn't spell out a cure for sleep apnea by saying that. Maybe in few lucky people, but I really mean to speak about coming out with a better AHI after a night's sleep, regardless if one is using CPAP or not using CPAP.

Maybe it doesn't matter if a person is on CPAP as long as the pressure requirements don't go up and tend to decrease? The trend if for people to get on CPAP and keep ignoring their diet.

The modern American diet is what's killing us. Too much beef, dairy, and wheat products. Processed and fast foods galore. The laxitive industry is very big in the US.

Move to a diet absent beef, dairy products, and most wheat and foods made with wheat. Instead, eat a diet almost entirely made up of veggies and fruits, oats are ok. Perishable soy milk is great. Perhaps eat small amounts of chicken, eggs, and medium sized pieces of fish every 3 days for variety and a desire to eat something kind of meaty. Drink lots of water and take a daily multi-vitamin. Doing so will promote digestive health and a regular bowel. Better sleep follows.
