Travelling with CPAP machine

I was wondering if you travellers out there could tell me if you have to carry the machine and apparatus in the briefcase identified with the Medical Manufacturers logo for identification by Airports etc. I am going on a bus tour and would prefer to pack in my own carry on briefcase. Thank you.
