My doc repeated this information recently- that a study had shown that some patients on CPAP still had EDS even after being treated with CPAP and she said she's recommending a new drug to help. (She offered me this drug.) It was a drug that used to be exclusively used for narcoleptics and it was non-habit forming (so she said). So you should talk to your sleep doctor about this.

However, she didn't say CPAP had no effect on EDS, only that in some patients it had no effect or little effect even if AHI was reduced.
